Hi, I’m Livi, your personal cake designer, maker, and decorator. I’ve been making cakes since I was 8 years old, and my grandma taught me how to make a Victoria sponge in her Kenwood mixer and how to tidy up after too! Since then, I have made thousands of cakes for family and friends and I thought it was time to share them with everyone. My cakes come from my family kitchen, where I cook our Sunday roasts and mixed in the trusty Kenwood mixer my grandma gave us as a wedding present, so they are truly homemade and taste so!
I pride myself in constantly learning new decorating techniques and cake recipes to ensure no request is too great and to provide the best possible cake for you. This isn’t a job, this is a passion that I love to share with everyone and anyone that wants incredible-looking-wonderfully-delicious cakes for any reason.
Hello, I’m Sara, the other and older half of the Farina and Fondant team, Livi’s Mum. I too have been baking from childhood learning from Livi’s Grandma -my Mum. The skills have been passed down the generations from my Grandma, who cooked perfect cakes just by eye, never weighing an ingredient. Today I still use her favourite green glass mixing bowl.
My interest in formal cake decorating started with fully iced and intricately decorated Christening cakes for my children. I have since developed and expanded my decorating skills over 30 years, making and decorating countless celebratory cakes for all occasions, weddings, birthdays, wedding anniversaries, retirements - whenever a special cake is needed. And, of course, making the everyday cakes too, which are pure indulgence.
Together Livi and I have pooled our skills, knowledge and years of experience so that we can bring you the very best decorated homemade cakes for whatever occasion.
